Hardware-locked licensing “locks” the software to a particular computer. This method means that for each license, you can only use MetricMonkey on a single computer.
Floating licences borrows a licence from a “pool” of licences. This method means that anyone in your organisation can use MetricMonkey as long as a license is available. Once a user closes MetricMonkey, the license is returned into the “pool” so that other users can use it.
Paul is the founder of Parametric Monkey and a registered architect in NSW (#10188) and the UK (#078726D). He is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) and has a detailed understanding of the complexities within the construction industry, having worked extensively in Australia, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and The Netherlands. Paul holds a Masters of Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association’s Design Research Laboratory and has also studied at the Queensland University of Technology and l’école d’architecture de Paris Val-de-Seine where he received a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours. He has taught at the University of Technology Sydney, the University of New South Wales, the Queensland University of Technology, the University of Hong Kong, and the Architectural Association.
